Mission Statement: |
|
|
Excellence. This one word encapsulates our mission in serving our clients. This means making decisions with our clients that are based soundly on the facts and the law. Every day our lawyers are in courts throughout southern Indiana meeting the unique challenges that each case presents. We mostly serve individuals and therefore we deal with questions of how law impacts on individual people and their problems. That means that each case and each situation must be judged and determined whether the proper approach is aggressive litigation or conciliatory diplomacy and patience. Not every case calls for or is best served by "heavy hitting" while others call for nothing else. Here, our goal is to correctly determine what is the best approach and be equipped to deliver either....for our clients.
Our attorneys are known for their willingness to actually try cases before a judge or jury. This is a powerful advantage over other law firms or lawyers who have built their careers on settling or plea bargaining cases. That is because the experience of trying a case teaches the lawyer "how things really are" in a case. Trial experience means the lawyer fully understands the value and impact of the evidence he or she has to work with in the case and the impact of the rules of evidence on a case. It also means that our lawyers are not afraid to stand before a room of strangers and argue their case. (A surprisingly rare commodity in the legal world.)
Because of this commitment to excellence in the law, protecting our clients rights and our willingness to actually go to trial for the sake of our clients, we have earned a sterling reputation in the legal community. The law office is regularly ranked in the top three for our Southern Indiana community by Martindale-Hubbell. (Confidential assessments by the legal community). Our law office has produced two sitting State Court Judges and a Federal Court judge* as well as the current chief public defender in Clark County.
If you want representation that is committed to your best outcome combined with integrity, knowledge of the law, strong work ethic and familiar understanding of all the courts in Southern Indiana (from Jasper to Madison) please schedule a confidential consultation with any of our attorneys.
* Hon. Vicki Carmichael, Clark Superior Court No. 1., Hon. Joseph Weber, Clark Superior Court No. 3, Hon. George "Buz"? Jacobs, formerly Judge Clark Superior Court No.2, presently Federal Administrative Law Judge, Southern District of Indiana at Evansville.
